Ammonia Test

Ammonia is excreted by the fish as a waste product, too much ammonia will cause major health problems so test regularly.

Measures total ammonia - reads zero / 0.2 ppm / 0.5ppm  / 1.0 ppm / 5 ppm / 10 ppm

Hardness Test

• Tests for hardness & alkalinity

Kh is the buffering capacity of water in your aquarium, preventing sudden ph changes.

Gh is the measure of the total mineral content of the water. Minerals are essential for the health of plants and fish.

Nitrite Test

Nitrite is produced by the beneficial bacteria in the aquarium and filters as they break down the harmful waste ammonia, excreted by the fish. Nitrite can affect the health of fish, but is not as toxic as ammonia so test regularly.

Nitrate Test

Nitrate is produced by the beneficial bacteria in the aquarium and filters as they break down the toxic waste products. Nitrate is not toxic to fish, but excessively high levels can affect their reproduction.

PH Broad (6–9) Test

Test is suitable for all freshwater aquaria with a ph range suitable for acid-loving amazonian fish to alkaline waters for east african cichlids.

PH Narrow (6-7.6) Test

For fish with specific ph requirements or for general tropical community aquaria requiring a neutral ph, nt labs ph 6 – 7.6 test provides quick and accurate pH measurement.
